Southern California Wildfire

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- The fire quickly moved through about two-thousand acres of brush, or about three square miles, less than four hours after it started.

U-S Forest Service officials say the community of Mountain Home Village was ordered evacuated and nearby Angelus Oaks is under a voluntary evacuation. T-V pictures showed one home ablaze.

A spokeswoman says more equipment and personnel are being called in to join the crews, air tankers and water-dropping helicopters attacking the flames as they move north into the forest.

The weather has been hot and dry, increasing fire danger. The blaze is about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
