I have been a hair stylist in Colorado for 25 years. I have never seen my business so incredibly slow as it is right now. Everyone is affected by the economy, including those of us in the beauty industry. I am not sure if the person putting out these DVD's is a lisenced professional, but if you are, shame on you. You are making things harder for those of us in the industry trying to maintain a clientele in this economy.

My wife works at a salon here in the Springs, And things like this bring in more business. People are constantly coming in to have "box color" and "haircuts at home" things fixed. What is funny is that it ends up costing more in the long run to have things corrected. And to Melissa. It does take stylist's MANY HOURS to be licensed to cut hair. Not to mention schooling and lots of hard work. No-one said they were "surgeons", But they are Artists. You get what you pay for.

Gee... I've had to have haircuts 'fixed' that were done at salons before. I bought this DVD a couple of months ago and had great results cutting my kids' hair and doing my own nails. I have NEVER required a trip to a salon to 'fix my work.' (Unlike my experiences at 'real salons.' Your story offended me, it assumes people are incapable of following instructions and positioned hairdressers as though they are practically surgeons, boasting HOURS of training and experience. Give me a break, Rosie, what else do you expect hairdressers to say? That they LOVE the idea of people avoiding the salon? Use your head and next time, present a balanced story and get in touch with real life people -- who seek opportunities to look good and not pay a fortune.

I went to Bring It Home Beauty's website watched the previews and I am going to buy the DVDs. I am a single mother and I think I can cut my kids hair and do my own nails. Its worth it to me.

I'm astounded at the trashing these entrepreneurs got from your report! Instead of praising these women for sticking their necks out to provide us an inexpensive means of cutting our hair and that of our children ESCPECIALLY in such a harsh economy, you stoop low and make this sound like it is a DVD straight from a butcher shop. There will always be those who go to a salon to have themselves done up but for those of us who prefer to save our hard earned money for things such as a college fund for our children, I am incredibly happy to see that someone is looking out for us. Also, from here on, I will be watching another, less trash reporting news channel. Hooray for Bring It Home Beauty. Shame on you Rosie!!!!!

After watching this clip last night I felt hurt that 11 news would find humor in people trying to save money by cutting hair at home. With being on a tight budget I feel this a great tool for my family to look their best and I will be buying the videos. Why would I pay the high prices of a salon plus tip to cut my kids hair when I can buy a DVD that shows me how for less and its a one time charge. The salons think they are the only ones that can cut hair and do nails. I looked through their website and your clip or article failed to mention its created by licensed professionals, thanks Becky for creating the DVDs.

I couldn't do any worse than Hair Envy on Murray has done to me! They only cut your hair the way they want to, not the way you ask; and if you get cut, that's YOUR fault for "tightening up." Here's a band-aid, now stop your whining. I think this DVD is a great way to shut down some over-priced, under talented shops!

My wife purchased these DVDs and started cutting the families hair. I would have to say it has gone really well due to the detail that is taught in the DVD. She has just ordered the nail DVD to save money rather than going to the salon every two weeks.
