PLEASE no outside burning, and if you see smoke, report it as soon as possible! Head over to the Weather tab for more information on the rest of the week.
(AP) -- John Parvensky, president of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, says officials are trying to establish a baseline count to let them see where the help is needed.
Some estimate the current amount of homeless people at 15-thousand. The last survey done in 1988 found that there were three-thousand-637.
Volunteers around the state will spend tonight and tomorrow morning counting, using a 26-question survey focusing on a person's homelessness and services they've used recently.
A second count will be on January 22nd to check the accuracy of the count and to adjust for the number of seasonal resort workers who are back on the job.
