We are waiting on the name of the suspect who was killed, after El Paso County authorities say he was involved in two separate car crashes Sunday night.

The first crash, at 6:15 p.m., killed one man. Deputies say the suspect ran a stop sign and t-boned a car on Highway 94. Raul Cordoza was killed. His family was rushed to the hospital.

During that time, a Good Samaritan stopped to help. That’s when, officials say, the suspect jumped into the Samaritan’s car and took off. He drove roughly 15 miles before rolling the stolen vehicle and crashing near Old Pueblo Rd. and Hanover Rd.

Authorities believe he died at the scene. It's still unclear if there were any other passengers in the car that was stolen.

Authorities are still trying to piece together exactly what happened.

Mrs. Cordoza is listed in fair condition at Memorial Hospital. The children's condition have not been released.
