A teenager is dead after apparently falling asleep at the wheel while driving on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo early Sunday.
The accident happened between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday.
The driver, 18-year-old Craig Thalhamer of Pueblo, was driving southbound when he veered off the highway, then overcorrected and crossed two lanes of the highway. The driver attempted to correct again, and lost control. The truck rolled.
Authorities say he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
A passenger received moderate injuries, according to the State Patrol, and was taken to the hospital.
That passenger told authorities Thalhamer fell asleep at the wheel.
Alcohol and speed appear to have been ruled out in the accident, according to the authorities.
