The water restrictions in Colorado Springs may soon change. Springs Utilities is asking the city council to do away with hand watering and allow customers to use a hose instead.

The proposed change came about after several Utilities customers complained that using buckets is too time consuming.

They are considering allowing residents to use hoses with a positive shut off nozzle to water trees, shrubs, gardens, plants and flowers.

If the Colorado Springs City Council approves the proposed change, it could go into effect in about two weeks.
