A house fire early Thursday morning in the Springs and firefighters say the family was not even at home.

Fire crews say the fire sparked around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The home was off Sydney Terrace in the Briargate area of Colorado Springs.

No one was injured in the fire and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Still that's crazy! Nine fires in 15 days, maybe it's a sign.

How many of these homes are either in Foreclosure or the owner is behind in payments...

this is the second fire in this house within 1 1/2 years

It should be noted that it was an employee from the nearby King Soopers on Woodmen that called in reporting smoke in the area, and because of that call the house was found as early as it was. Thankfully nobody was injured here, but glad to see that there are good samaritans that will call in and report something like smoke in the area and not just ignore it! People like this can very easily save lives!
