The 12th Annual American Heart Walk kicks off Saturday morning in Colorado Springs.
The 5K event is a noncompetitive walk but promotes the importance of regular physical activity to prevent heart disease and stroke.
Here’s the information you will need if you’d like to participate in the walk:
Where: Penrose House through Cheyenne Canon to the base of Seven Falls and back
When: Saturday, June 7, 2003
Registration begins at 7 a.m.
Walk begins at 8:30 a.m.
Parking: Broadmoor International Center. Volunteers will direct walkers to the parking lot nearest the walk site.
Reigstration: In lieu of a registration fee, a minimum donation of $25 is suggested
Money raised from the walk will go to fund research by the American Heart Association to reduce death from heart disease and stroke. The number one and number three killers in the nation.
