Friends and relatives packed a Wisconsin church Friday to pay last respects to a Fort Carson soldier killed in Iraq. Brookfield, Wisconsin, native Mathew Schram was an Army major killed last month when gunmen ambushed his convoy in Iraq. He was 36.

Reverend Daniel Pakenham asked for prayers for Mathew's family and ``the world we live in today.'' Photo displays inside the church showed Schram in full military dress and enjoying family and friends.

Schram was with the Third Armored Cavalry Regiment based at Fort Carson, Colorado. The unit has lost four soldiers in the past two weeks.
