Karr Waives Extradition

With a simple, "Yes, your honor," John Karr has waived his right to challenge a move to Colorado and possible murder charges.

The suspect in the slaying of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey waived extradition in a brief hearing in Los Angeles, where he was represented by a public defender.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office had charged him with being a fugitive from justice. The complaint notes that Karr was charged with murder in a warrant issued last week in Boulder, Colorado.

The court says Boulder authorities have until September 6 to pick up Karr. On Sunday, Karr voluntarily accompanied authorities on a flight from Thailand to California, where he has since been jailed.
