A train derailed east of Manzanola in Southern Colorado Thursday morning, closing roads in the area for more than four hours.

Officials say it was a coal train that derailed from the tracks Thursday before 9 a.m. An 11 News crew on the scene said the middle cars of the train derailed and coal has spilled from the train.

There is no word on whether or not anyone was injured.

County Road 811 and Highway 207 were closed but reopened around 12:45 p.m.
