Where are the Bears?

Experts call it another sign that Colorado's drought may finally be easing.
Fewer black bears have been leaving the foothills to raid residential garbage cans.

The state Division of Wildlife fielded 60 nuisance calls about bears every month last spring and early summer from Colorado Springs residents. That's because the drought dried up grass and other forage for the big animals.

A division spokesman says there have been about 20 calls a month
since April.
