Snow and rain will continue to taper from north. Main roads should stay just wet overnight and through early Thursday. Secondary roads and any bridges and overpasses away from city warmth will be icy, so be careful. Locally dense fog will be an issue for the early morning too. A portion of Colorado's main east-west interstate reopened this afternoon as crews continued to repair water-saturated pavement around a sinkhole that shut it down four days ago.
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 now are open to single-lane
traffic in two directions -- while the westbound lanes remained

The 24-mile section of the highway was initially closed Sunday
when floodwaters washed out an underground culvert and opened a
22-foot-wide sinkhole in westbound lanes. Eastbound lanes reopened
early Wednesday but the road started sinking again.
Tests now show that the road is indeed stable.
