After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell says he'll fight to keep the U-S Olympic Committee headquarters in Colorado Springs.
Senators working on legislation aimed at reforming the scandal-plagued Olympic committee have rejected Campbell's efforts to ensure the headquarters and training center stay in Colorado.
Campbell says he has been approached by fellow Republican Senators John McCain, of Arizona, and Ted Stevens, of Alaska, about
support to relocate the center.
Campbell says such a move would happen --quote-- over my dead
body --end quote.
McCain -- chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee -- hopes to have U.S.O.C. reforms in place by August.
Senators are trying to make changes to the Olympic committee, which over the past three years has had four chief executives and three presidents.
