The Pueblo Police Department says a house has exploded at 1234 Pine Street in Pueblo, near I-25 and Northern Avenue. That's in the Bessemer area of Pueblo.

The Pueblo Fire Department says the home was completely engulfed when they arrived on the scene at 9:30 a.m. They were able to extinguish the flames but they say the home is a complete loss.

KKTV 11 News Reporter Danielle Saar is on the scene and says it looks like there are only two walls left standing on the home.

Northern Avenue has reopened from Orman westbound to Pine Street.

Both houses on either side of the home also caught fire but firefighters were able to extinguish those flames quickly.

Fire officials say no one was hurt. Neighbors say they saw the homeowner leave for work around 6 a.m. this morning. They say the man is retired and leaves every morning to take care of horses on his ranch. They say he takes his small dog with him, too, so no one was in the home.

Five to 10 people have been evacuated from nearby homes.

Police are asking the public to stay out of the area. They say safety is their number one priority at this time.

There seems to be alot of things blowing up in Pueblo, maybe somebody should be looking into all these gasleaks. I would be worried if I lived there to.

Should the people of Pueblo be concerned? Im not sure how gas leaks start but my concern is that my daughter's school is a very old building and who is to say that building wont be next? This really worries me.
