11 News and Security Service Federal Credit Union partnered up Wednesday giving military families the opportunity to record a holiday greeting for their loved ones who are overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
These greetings will all be put online at KKTV.com in the next few days.
They are messages local families hope will bring a little joy to their loved ones who won't be home for the holidays.
"Love you mommy, we miss you," said Dominic, Jillian and Adriana Wells. They are spending their second Christmas without mom.
"It gets harder and harder, it’s supposed to get easier and easier but it's the opposite," said their dad, John Wells.
He is raising the three alone, his wife, SGT Irene Wells is on her second tour of duty in Iraq.
"They are 4, 5 and 6. They were all born already by the first deployment," John said.
Like the Wells’ most here have been through this before.
"I haven't spent a Christmas with my son in about 4 or 5 years," said Sheryll Lucas.
She agrees it never gets any easier.
"It's going to be a very lonely day without him here," Lucas said.
They just hope their words will help their loved ones smile a little brighter this holiday season.
Security Service says they hope to do this again for future holidays.
