Heavy rains yesterday afternoon near Deckers blackened streams
with ash from last summer's Hayman Fire and turned several miles of
the South Platte River smoke-brown with silt.
Minor flooding had been reported in Steamboat Springs and crews
in Georgetown lined Clear Creek with sandbags.
Some minor flooding was possible along the Roaring Fork near
Aspen and the San Miguel near Telluride.
