Lipitor Recall

The Foof and Drug Administration has a warning for people taking the cholesterol reducing drug, Lipitor. Officials say before you start taking it, check the bottle. Some of the bottles in circulation don't actually contain Lipitor, but rather a fake drug.

Authorities are recalling 100,000 bottles of the fake version of the drug. Though the pills look the same, they will not have the same effect, and could put patients depending on the effects at risk.

The following bottle numbers are those involved in the recall:
20722V 90 Tablet bottles with 9/2004 expiration date
04132V 90 Tablet bottles with 1/2004 expiration date
016942V 90 Tablet bottles with 9/2004 expiration date
