Pershing Field at Fort Carson was packed Wednesday night, with fans of a country music superstar.

Fort Carson's public affairs office isn't even sure how many people showed up for the free Tim McGraw concert. They estimate anywhere from 10 to 20 thousand fans poured into the venue.

McGraw came to the Post as a stop on his latest tour. He said he wanted to find a way to thank the military, and their familes for all of the sacrifices they've made. He also said, Fort Carson fit into his schedule perfectly, which is why it was chosen.

The concert was open only to military members and their families.
