The Pueblo Fire Department, police department, ATF, even some crews from Fort Carson. All have been working long hours trying to find answers to the explosion that rocked downtown pueblo last Thursday.
The Pueblo community has come together to do whatever they can for emergency crews.
One restaurant near the scene of the explosion has its’ own way of giving back to those working so hard.
Even as night falls, Gold Dust Saloon is on stand-by, ready to help emergency crews.
"They're risking their lives for us, and I just wanted to do something for them," said owner Ruth McDonald with a smile on her face.
An island of goodies sits near a window. Hot coffee, candy, apples and chips all there for the taking.
"We so appreciate the help. I can't thank this city, the community enough for their support from the beginning," said Chief Chris Riley of the Pueblo Fire Department.
The Gold Dust Saloon will keep its’ doors open, with that table full of goodies until every crew members job is complete.
That job may not be done for some time. Authorities say the initial investigation should take 3 to 4 days.
Finding answers to the explosion could take months.
