A Colorado Springs man who accidentally videotaped himself killing his wife has been sentenced to life in prison.
Fifty seven year old Dennis Harpin was convicted of the May 2002 slaying of 47 year old Sherilyn Harpin. He was sentenced Friday.
Harpin says liquor drove him to kill and he doesn't remember the slaying despite a videotape with audio and video events before, during and after the shooting.
During sentencing he said he deprived the world of a wonderful
person and was heartbroken about the slaying.
