Despite the sluggish economy. Colorado Springs is still considered a great place for jobs, even with recent layoffs.

Colorado Springs now ranks 13th on Forbes Magazine’s list of best places for business and careers. Last year, the city ranked 29th.

Companies are now looking for a place with an economic future and room to grow. But another priority is the cost of doing business. That includes a readily avialble and educated work force and plenty of office space. However with the lagging economy, more than ever, businesses want to get the best deals possible.

One of the things that dreaws business to Colorado Springs is the workforce and people say they come here for the quality of life.

Colorado Springs beat Denver on the 2003 Forbes list. Expewrts say that’s because the cost of living in the state’s capitol is much higher.
