"Money" Magazine has released the 'Top Ten Best Big Cities In America To Live' and Colorado Springs is ranked number one.
The magazine uses many different criteria to rank the cities including quality of life, climate, cost of living, and even shopping.
Colorado Springs, which is normally considered a mid-sized city was ranked with all large cities with a population of over 300,000.
Austin, Texas was second on the list and other notables included San Diego coming in fifth and New York City rounding out the top ten.
The magazine says Fort Collins is the nation's "Best Place to Live" this year regardless of size -- due to its natural setting, a vibrant downtown, and the presence of Colorado State University.
"Money" also says Fort Collins outpaces other communities when it comes to "ease-of-living" measures like commuting and recreation.
