It's now legal for Colorado residents to display the American flag in their homes -- and in tax-supported buildings.
Governor Owens signed Senate Bill 235 into law yesterday, more than a year after the incident that prompted it.
Boulder Public Library director Marcelee Gralapp drew criticism after turning down a request to hang a ten-by-15-foot flag in October 2001.
She said hanging the flag might have compromised the library's objectivity.
The bill was among 20 Owens signed into law.
Others allow car rental agencies to avoid liability when their customers run toll booths, create a well inspection program, and let the state raise money by leasing buildings.
