A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
In another sign of Colorado's importance to both political parties, President Bush will be in Colorado next week to support congressional candidate Rick O'Donnell.
The Denver Post is reporting that Bush will appear at a thousand-dollar-a-plate event in Cherry Hills Village.
Photos with the president will cost 42-hundred dollars.
O'Donnell is the only Republican candidate seeking to succeed Congressman -- and gubernatorial candidate -- Bob Beauprez in the 7th Congressional District in suburban Denver.
It's one of the three most competitive -- and expensive -- congressional races in the country.
Meanwhile Michael Schiavo, the husband of Terri Schiavo, is in Colorado today to raise money for one of O'Donnell's three Democratic opponents, Peggy Lamm.
