Soldier Memorial Fund

A memorial fund has been set up to help the families of three Fort Carson soldier killed in Iraq.

The three men, all part of Fort Carson's 571st Air Ambulance Unit died when their Blackhawk Helicopter crashed into the Tigris River in Iraq last Friday. They were trying to rescue an Iraqi child who was injured in an explosion at the time.

The men are identified as Chief Warrant Officers, Brian Van Dusen and Hans Gukeisen and Sergeant Richard Carl.

If you would like to donate to the memorial fund in the name of the fallen soldiers, you can give to any Colorado Springs First Bank Location. You can donate as much or as little as you want.
