Senator Hillary Clinton will be in Denver today and her campaign aides insist the main focus of her trip is to raise money for her New York Senate race.

But political analysts say it's also a chance for her to build relationships in a competitive Western state for a possible presidential run.

Colorado College political science professor Bob Loevy says she already has a large campaign war chest and a large lead in the polls over any potential Republican opponent.

Independent pollster Floyd Ciruli says Colorado is considered a battleground state and that status will bring a lot of voters between now and November.
