Holtzman Out

The Colorado Supreme Court is throwing out G-O-P gubernatorial candidate Marc Holtzman's attempt to get his name onto the August primary ballot.

The court today refused to hear Holtzman's claims that he needed a total of ten-thousand-500 signatures, NOT 15-hundred signatures from each congressional district as a district court judge ruled.

The high court gave no reason for its decision.

Holtzman spokesman Jesse Mallory says -- quote -- "It's over, man."

Holtzman had said he'd drop his campaign and throw his support to Congressman Bob Beauprez (BOH'-pray) if the Supreme Court turned him down.

Beauprez spokesman John Marshall says the high court has upheld the law, and it's time for the campaign to move on.
