A new postage stamp commemorating the life of late civil rights leader Cesar E. Chavez will be unveiled Saturday during Cinco de Mayo festivities in Denver.

The event will take place at noon at Denver's Civic Center Park during what is being billed as the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the United States. The stamp unveiling ceremony is being sponsored by the Denver Post Office.
Guests will include the Consul General of Mexico and other local dignitaries. The new 37-cent stamp was issued on April 23rd and is now available at all post offices nationwide.
Chavez founded the United Farm Workers of America and was considered a devoted advocate for non-violent social change.
