Twenty six El Paso County inmates are being moved to other wards after a major disturbance at the Metro Detention Facility on Thursday.

Sheriff's officials say the inmates tried to block security cameras, set fire to a bed sheet, and ties doors open so the ward couldn't be locked down.

A special response team got control back by using a distraction device.

Officials say that can be smoke, or flashing lights and sounds.

No one was hurt in the disturbance.
