Colorado Springs police say a body found in a wooded area Sunday is that of a missing Peregrine woman. 43 year old Jayne Klaiber disappeared February 14th.
A hiker discovered her body in thick scrub oak about 200 feet off a hiking trail near Woodmen Road and Blodgett Drive. Near her body, police found a blanket, cell phone and backpack. Investigators say is appears the body had been there for some time.
Police say they found no signs of criminal activity. Her manner of death is not yet known.
The El Paso County Coroner's Office is conducting an autopsy.
