Two men are behind bars accused of looking at child pornography.

One is a retired firefighter with the New York City Fire Department.

The other is from Centennial Colorado.

The two men were caught because of one man here in Colorado Springs.

Ronald Croughan was arrested and charged a couple of weeks ago according to Colorado Springs Police Detective Sgt. Bill Dehart. Croughan is accused of the same thing, viewing and trading child porn.

Apparently Croughan and the other two men were apart of the same network.

The man from Centennial Colorado is James Phipps. According to the C.S.P.D. Phipps allegedly had more than 1000 images and videos of child pornography on his computer. Phipps was arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children and is being held on $50,000 bond.

"Every arrest is important because it helps to publicize that it's not just an image that's being viewed, it's not just a video, we're looking at child abuse," said Sgt. Dehart.

Martin Lockman is the retired New York City Firefighter. Lockman apparently told police he'd been downloading and trading child porn for more than ten-years.

Police say there are several ways the men may have been caught. "AOL, Yahoo. If they find this kind of pornography being actively traded across their servers they will stop it and notify law enforcement," said Sgt. Dehart.

Sgt. Dehart says unfortunately files are traded and viewed millions of times a day. He says there are more suspects who are apart of this same network that are expected to arrested in the near future.

Sgt. Dehart also put out a warning to parents asking them to monitor their kid's computer habits more closely. "What are they doing once they're on-line and are you aware of what they're doing. But more importantly, when you see and image like that, stop and think that that's a child that's being abused," said Sgt. Dehart.

Good for AOL and Yahoo!! At least they care enough to stop it and let someone know about it! These guys can rot in jail. That's disgusting, gross and wrong!!!

Save our money and bring back public hangings for these type of people. They have no place in any community
