Want to know how much you'll save on your tax bill depending on who is our next president? Well two Colorado College students recently created a website and text messaging service that can give you an estimate.

All you have to do is send a text message to 95495. Then type in the word "tax" and your household income and press send, moments later a message comes back telling you what tax savings you'll receive under Obama and under McCain.

You can also find out the same information at TaxInfo2008.org.

Kyle Cureau and Jess Arnsteen are the brains behind this new service and this new website.

"The debates really sparked this, the number one issue and the number one concern for most Americans is taxes and the economy," said Cureau.

So the two students devised a way that they believe makes each candidates tax plan more understandable.

"It allows voters to get a personalized calculation, made out to them," Arnsteen said.

They say, their service is free of charge and non-partisan. The calculations are based on the analysis they found on the website TheTaxPolicyCenter.org.

11 News contacted the two economic institutions that operate TheTaxPolicyCenter.org, which is a non-partisan site. Representatives told us they have no affiliation with the new website and it does not use their data correctly. In an email response, they wanted to make it clear that the site simply reports the average tax change for people in particular income brackets and the data used is from their June analysis which is not the most current.

Meaning the tax savings given are only estimates. Plus, no matter's who's the winner in November remember the candidates' two different tax plans are only proposals.
