PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- Environmentalists say big changes have been made to the ski village proposed for the base of the Wolf Creek resort.
The changes prompted Colorado Wild to send a letter to the U.S. Forest Service on Monday asking for more time for public comment on the project. The letter claims the owners of the property have changed, as well as the placement of roads and lot boundaries.
Earlier this year, environmentalists dropped a lawsuit challenging the project when the Forest Service agreed to redo an environmental impact statement. The developers and managers of the ski area also settled lawsuits in the Rio Grande National Forest.
