Scene from Stetson Hills just east of Powers, where a vehicle reportedly hit a utility box Thursday morning, causing an outage affecting 3,000 customers.
Power has been restored to thousands of people on the northeast side of Colorado Springs after a car hit a utility box and knocked out power for more than 3,000 customers.
The car reportedly hit the transformer while traveling eastbound on Stetson Hills, east of Powers. In addition to homes, the accident also knocked out traffic lights in the area.
