Investigators say someone was cooking on a stove before an explosion that hurt three people, including two children.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office tells 11 News that it was some sort of gas explosion, but they don't know yet if the gas was connected to the stove.
It happened in Ellicott Wednesday night.
A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were flown to a hospital in Denver for treatment of burns.
A 20-year-old woman also reportedly suffered minor injuries.
Neighbors say they heard a loud explosion around 8:20 Wednesday night outside a home on Biggs Rd. There was no damage to the home itself.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is investigating the explosion.
