3 Arrest For Vehicle Break-Ins

Three men have been arrested for breaking into cars in Canon City.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says that 18-year-old Caleb Schuckert, 19-year-old Stacy Smith and 22-year-old Terrence Williamson were spotted breaking into several vehicles in the Lincoln Park area of Canon City. Deputies responded to the call around 5 a.m. Monday, but were unable to find the suspects.

About an hour after beginning their investigation, A Canon City police officer noticed a suspicious looking car at the Loaf n Jug on 9th Street and pulled the driver over. Two of the men were arrested after police spotted stolen items in their car. The third suspect tried to run away, but was caught a short time later at a home on the 1000 block of Woodlawn.

Each suspect is being held at the Fremont County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond. They have all been charged with first-degree criminal trespass, theft and theft by receiving.
