Nevada troopers say 22-year-old Eric Allen of Peyton shot at officers after he collided with the 75-year-old motorist while attempting to elude authorities.

A Churchill County sheriff's deputy was hit in the cheek by either a bullet fragment or a shard of glass. He was not seriously injured.
The motorist killed has been identified as Walter Summers of Richland, Missouri.
