Fort Carson families now have a new place to make them feel right at home.

The USO opened a new center on the mountain post Friday.

The 5,280 square-foot center offers a cyber cafe with free internet, an entertainment lounge with a large screen TV, video games, a library, kids play area, and an outdoor picnic area.

Soldiers at Friday's grand opening say they're very excited to see the place they'll be enjoying during their service at Fort Carson.

"To be up underneath the vehicle all day in the hot sun, sweating, touch hot metal, its just nice to come here and sit and relax and meet with other battle buddies, and talk about our experiences," says SPC Bert Williams, U.S. Army.

The USO center will be open to the military Monday thru Saturday, for 10 hours a day.
