A Crowley County deputy has filed some serious allegations against the Sheriff's department.

Now, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations is involved.

About a year ago, William Ferritto moved his family to Crowley County for his new job as a deputy with the Sheriff's department.

He tells 11 News everything was going well until he turned in the Sergeant and his fellow deputies for illegal activities including racing in patrol cars.

He says he saw one deputy driving 78 miles an hour in a 35 mile zone.

"They're doing the same things that they would arrest you or me for, or write you or I a ticket for," says Ferritto.

Ferritto says he also reported Sergeant Matt Racine after he allegedly made comments about an elderly man they work with.

"he was a waste and he just needed to die was his comment."

However Ferritto says his supervisors just let the behavior continue.

"There's nothing done about it, there's no repercussions."

Now, he says, those deputies are harassing him and his family.

"These officers are out of control, they're harassing me, they're harassing my family, they're starting rumors about my daughter and son."

The Crowley County Sheriff did not want to comment on the allegations.

"At this point I have an internal affairs investigation, and asked CBI to assist, related to complaints made by Deputy Ferritto, and that's all I'm gonna say at this time," says Sheriff Miles Clark.

Ferritto has been put on paid administrative leave for his safety.
