A delegate to the Republican convention from Colorado says he was date-raped when he was robbed in his hotel room Sept. 4 by someone he remembers as a -- quote -- "beautiful woman."

Denver attorney and party donor Gabriel Schwartz says he was drugged by the woman he met in a hotel bar. He says he remembers inviting her to his room but then passed out and awoke to find missing cash and jewelry, including a watch he valued at $30,000.

The 29-year-old lawyer says he was embarrassed by the incident but that he came forward and wants people to know -- quote -- "date rape happens to men, too."

Police have not made any arrests in the case.

This guy may have been sleazy, but I think there would have been a lot less sarcasm if a woman were raped. Talk about a double standard.

gee, $30,000 for a WATCH? I'm thinking of how he could have DONATED $29,990.00 to a worthy cause for the homeless in Denver and do just fine with a $10.00 watch from WalMart! LOL. Too bad he was date-raped and was robbed, BUT, so much for moral values that the republican party so feverishly tries to make it be THEIR parties values.
