Barack Obama will make a campaign stop at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo on Monday afternoon.

He also plans a campaign appearance in Grand Junction that day, but details haven't been released.

It will be Obama's first return visit to the state since accepting the Democratic presidential nomination in Denver on Aug. 28.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will also be in Colorado on Monday, appearing at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden.

Both campaigns consider Colorado a battleground state.

The Obama campaign says his event is open to the public and no tickets are required, but an RSVP is encouraged.

haha are you kidding? you think Obama's racist against his own mother? get a grip man.

Barack Hussein Obama. Obama did not spend his young life in Hawaii. He returned to Hawaii when he was ten. His father is from Nyanza Providence, Kenya. Obama attended a church for many years with Rev. Wright who is clearly anti-government, anti-white and full of hate. Obama's mother may have been white but that is as far as it goes. He has the same issues that his wife has with being a racist. She has been proud of country on one occassion though. Say what you want about McCain but he at least believes in and has fought for his country.People had better wake up. What is Obama going to do if we have to defend ourselves? Is this where his inexperience comes into play? Is he going to reason with people that don't reason? Is Michelle going to tell them she is proud of them? Peace and no war would be ideal in a perfect world. This is not a perfect world. Would Obama let enemies invade the U.S. because he doesn't believe in confrontation and defense? Oh, that would just be family and friends

Continued-Michelle Obama appears to be prejudice as well. Do not speak of Obama and his Christianity the fact is he has practiced muslim his entire life. That is not something that is going away. I would rather have someone that left his wife, than an individual that never left his terroristic beliefs.

After reading this blog, I can see that McCain's lie machine has been very effective. Many media sources have repeatedly disputed and shown that Obama's tax plan will benefit those with incomes below $200,000. I don't know about you, but that sounds like the income category of regular people. At least that is where I fall. I pray this country, Colorado elects OBama the nextpresident of the United STates. It wil be refreshing to have an opprotunity to restore diplomacy on a Global level, end secrecy and cronyism and begin trying to make a difference for our children. REmember them, they are inheriting the mess the "W" has brought to this country. Turn off the cable channels and listen to the news, not the local news but the national news, financial industry crisis, banks collapsing, housing collapse and foreclosures, loss of jobs. Oil companies' windfall profits, scandals in government, and it goes on. ENOUGH!

After reading the comments I am so saddened by the name calling and put downs. I have not been relying on either campaign to educate my but have been doing my research on who is going to make the country better. In comparing plans, Barack Obama stands out by far in his ability and plan to improve the conditions of this country. And over and over again, I am realizing that McCain is literally lying. Unfortunately many of his supporters are not doing their homework and actually believe him. Even Karl Rove says McCain's gone too far with it. I want peace, integrity and hope in this country. Obama can do that.

BAROCK THE VOTE!!

Posted by: Kelvin on Sep 15, 2008 at 08:11 AM
I don't understand why the GOP are claiming they are the fiscally responsible party. They always leave America further in debt at the end of each administration. They expect your children to pay off their wasteful spending. Case in point - If we are at war, Taxes should be raised to pay for the war. ALL Americans should feel the pain and the burden, not just the military families. Americans paid for all past wars in this way. Sorry, but a stinking magnet on your car saying you support the troops is no help. Words are cheap and meaningless. Paying their way NOW is what is needed.

Obama does need to come to Pueblo to help save the large number of his Democratic Buddies because we are whittling at his Base, Hispanics, Women, Young, Seniors, Veterans and a Hillary Supporters and a large number of Democrats for McCain/Palin, the more appearances he makes in areas like this, the more he helps our cause by putting his foot in his mouth. Silver Salazar Still a Democrat voting for McCain/Palin

Food for thought for the religious folks: -How can you be "pro-life" and try to save unborn fetuses but support military action in Iraq? How many lives on both sides have been lost? And are Iraqi lives less valuable? WWJD??? -For those that keep trying to label Obama as a Muslim (as if that matters, this country belongs to all of us, not just Christians). Is McCain really such a good Christian when he ABANDONED his first wife after she was crippled in a wheelchair? Go on google and look up Carol McCain. That's the thing no one wants to talk about. So for those of you who keep dogging Obama and accusing him of being a Muslim, McCain isn't a better example as a Christian. So let's be fair and leave this issue alone and focus on what's really important here.

The current Republican administration has brought more big government (Homeland Security Administration) and more big spending (Iraq War) than any other administration ever could and it's impossible to do these things and not pay for them without bankrupting our entire country. Anyone who was "for" the Iraq war can't also be in a position to provide tax relief, plain and simple. Purely from an economical view, if you want lower taxes you can't expect to receive them by voting for politicians that supported the war. There's no point in being "conservative" when you support military action that costs billions of dollars that hasn't even brought 9/11's real perpetrators to justice. We cannot expect to solve our problems using the same type of thinking we used when we created them. No more fear, no more war-mongering - bring back diplomacy! Go Obama! And we're not like Focus, praying for rain - we pray for sunshine and for peace -for ALL!

You can tell which people are informed and which ones are not. MCCain got toasted on the View and was called about his lying on his TV ads. Obama is just stating the truth and you right wingers are disgusting.

Kay - Many of your posts show your true colors - That you are a racist. America has a long history of being a melting pot, welcoming people of all backgrounds and religions. Where did you get such extremist views? You only spew hate and fear. Please take a look at yourself as others see you. Cast out your demons. Only then can you open your mind and your heart...

The only people who will feel higher taxes are the big corperations supporting Bush and the Oil companies who are raping America. Thats all they can get on Obama, that he will raise their taxes. And Obama was never a muslim, terrorist, racist, baby killer, or unpatriotic. It's funny how faux news is the only ones who make up these stories. Obama is just a "community leader" George Bush has more Arabic friends than Obama.

Woul like to see and hear Obama's speech on his campaign for the President of the United States.

Posted by: Anon Location: CS on Sep 13, 2008 at 09:22 PM
Michelle O'Bama was proud of the U.S. one time. That was when O'Bama was nominated. That speaks volumes.

Hmmmm, very interesting. Now I know where I can go to get some nice, patriotic, American flags that will undoubtably be thrown away again by the dufus demoncrats. Oh, can anyone guess why he's wearing his flag pin again?? Bingo! You're right!! It's because he was seen as anti-American (which he is...Kay is right, read bama's books...duh!) and was getting a bad reputation for being way left and hanging around with domestic terrorists and goofy left-wing, anti-American, anti-white pastors...??? Oh, he also felt that wearing the flag pin was an insult to our European "friends" and he didn't want to hurt their feelings. OOO, poor baby!! He's an elitist, leftist, DOES NOT have America in his heart, is a phony, and.... is a wolf in sheeps clothing...trust me. A vote for Obama is a vote for ruin. sherrie, I'm sorry, you are wrong, pls read his book. Mrs. bama had him change to a phony Chistian so he could run for office. You need to get your facts straight. henry, right on bro!!

Posted by: Kay Location: Co Springs on Sep 13, 2008 at 01:55 PM
I'm not and I did. I suppose I'm wrong and I made up Michelle Obama's thesis, too ?

Posted by: Anon on Sep 13, 2008 at 09:03 AM
Kay, you are wrong. Check your facts.

Posted by: Kay Location: C/S on Sep 13, 2008 at 06:28 AM
Tom, Wall street calls Obama "THE TAX MAN COMETH" for a reason.

Posted by: henry on Sep 13, 2008 at 03:28 AM
After reading the obama remarks about Sen. McCain not being able to use a computer & supposedly out of touch with Mainstream America, I've come to realize that the obama camp is full of lowlife trash who will do & say anything to get their nominee elected. For those not familiar with the story, Sen. McCain cannot use a computer keyboard or typewriter, comb his hair nor tie his shoes because of injuries suffered in Vietnam. For another person to make fun of another persons medical condition, that is the lowest of the low. barac obama & anyone affiliated with him have no class whatsoever.

Sherries he was registered for 31 years as muslim and he changed his name to an Arabic name. Read his own books HE wrote.

Posted by: sherrie Location: Colorado Springs on Sep 12, 2008 at 03:30 PM
The muslim boy remarks have nothing to do with policy or what McCain and Palin will do to our great country. That is PURE RACISM. Please show me evidence of Obama being a muslim..oh that's right there is none. Please try to talk like a person with more than one brain cell if you can. OBAMA/BIDEN '08!

Posted by: Tom Location: CS on Sep 12, 2008 at 02:00 PM
