Customer Satisfaction Survey

Consumer satisfaction with a variety of products and services is on the rise.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index, which measures customer evaluations of the quality of products and services available to household consumers, posted its biggest increase in three years during the first quarter.

Areas showing gains include wireless phone service up five percent; cable and satellite TV with a three percent increase; and the hotel industry with a three percent improvement.

The airline industry was down one and a-half percent to 65.

That's the lowest score since it was rocked by the 9-11 attacks.
