Opposition to Cultural Diversity Board

A group of citizens hand over a letter of protest to Colorado Springs Mayor Lionel Rivera's office today. The group opposes a new cultural diversity advisory board that city council voted for last Tuesday.

They say the board would not represent all members of the community, including gays and lesbians, women, people of faith and people with disabilities.

City Council members unanimously voted for the board last Tuesday. One city council member expects that to change next Tuesday, when the ordinance is read and voted on for a second and final time.
