One woman is quarantined and two others have been told to stay home as health officials investigate suspect cases of a deadly illness.
Three Colorado nurses returned from an educational tour in China. They soon exhibited symptoms of severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS.
A fourth case involving a California man who became ill while vacationing in Colorado is being investigated separately.
The female nurses developed fevers higher than 100°F as well as shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Colorado health officials say the suspect cases are not considered probable. That would change if any of the nurses develops pneumonia.
