Investigators say two men were killed when a single-engine plane crashed near the Colorado-Utah border.

Garfield County sheriff's spokeswoman Tanny McGinnis said Monday the victims are Charles Landry of Houston, born in 1947, and Steven Bartlett of Green River, Wyo., born in 1958.

McGinnis says they were the only people on board. It's not yet clear which man was flying the plane.

A motorist found the wreckage of the four-seat Grumman Cheetah on Sunday about 40 miles northwest of Grand Junctioin and 210 miles west of Denver.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators are expected to take over the investigation on Monday.
