Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden says he'll vigorously challenge Republican Sarah Palin on the issues, but will refrain from personal attacks.

Biden made the remarks Thursday in response to a question from a woman attending his forum on national security in military-heavy Virginia Beach. The woman asked Biden to promise to be tough on Palin. The vice presidential debate is Oct. 2.

Biden said he was raised never to attack the other person, but said he would be unrelenting in challenging Palin on the issues.

Too bad this woman did not ask Biden to be tough on the American people. He and Obama are running on the promise of free handouts to the 'sit on their sofas and watch American Idol' crowd from the pockets of those who provide jobs. The middle class needs to govern their own lives and stop whining to the government. If people's current jobs are not meeting their needs, they need find the right change in their lives.
