Two Walgreens pharmacies were robbed at gunpoint Monday in Colorado Springs. Authorities have not said whether or not there is a link between the crimes.
The first robbery happened at the Walgreens store at the intersection of Fillmore and North Nevada in the Springs around 3:45 a.m. Monday.
In that crime, the witness said a man used a black handgun to steal an undisclosed amount of narcotics from the overnight clerk.
The second armed robbery happened Monday night, around 9:15. This time the Walgreens located at the corner of Dublin Blvd. and North Union was targeted by a man carrying a silver revolver.
A search for the suspect by police was later unsuccessful. The suspect in this case also got away with an undisclosed amount of narcotics.
