Two senior campaign officials confirm that John McCain has chosen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate.

Palin, who's 44, is a self-styled "hockey mom" and political reformer.

The announcement is scheduled at midday in Dayton, Ohio.

Palin is a first-term governor credited with reforms of her out-of-the-way state.

Earlier, an associate of Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said Pawlenty had been informed he's not McCain's pick. Associates close to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney were saying the same thing.

An obvious tactical move by the McCain camp to show that he isn't just another republican "good 'ol boy". I'm still not convinced.

Hey, ya she's young, kinda inexperienced, plays hockey, hunts, and eats moose burgers!! YA, her husband is JUST a blue-collar union dude from small-town USA. DUH, of course, her selection is to woo conservative republicans and dems, and as many dem women and men as possible. I don't think this indicates Mac's insecurity at all. I feel his choice is politically way "out of the box". Don't forget, Sarah is a REAL CONSERVATIVE. An NRA lifetime member, anti-tax, anti-abortion, anti-corruption and wants change. NOT the same "change" planned by the leftist, socialist, radical nominated by the dems! If you have any doubts about Obama's political values, look at his "friends", ex-pastor, and read his books. Mac did take a huge chance yet I fully support both he and Sarah!! At least, both are American patriots! Oh, I know, Obama loves his country (yawn!). Is this why he now wears his flag pin AGAIN after removing it to placate others...???!!! Some patriot! Go Mac and Sarah!!

Yet we want Nobama who when asked "what have you done to fix things?" replied not much and when also asked "what program/high level interest item have you ran/fixed?" replied NOTHING! The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, he will destroy everything. And Now: For the award winning Act of Stupidity Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet -- The Presidency of the United states of America ... A Muslim Mal e Extremist Between the ages of 17 and 40.

She's an ex-beauty queen. That's all McCain needed to know.

Ya how stupid of him to pick a woman with more experience than Obama (Alaska is not complaining about their govenor), who cares about proflife, has morality, and cares about the middle class. He should have picked another tax raising, Muslim who wants to weaken our military.

The republicans and John McCain have just picked a pageant soccer PTA mom to run this country if something happens to him. Maybe they will let her fix the boys in washington some sandwiches and kool-aid. Are you kidding me? They blew it.
