Police Shooting Denver

Denver police are still withholding the name of the man who was killed by officers this weekend.

Police spokesman John White says the man, who was suspected of stealing a car in Aurora, pulled a replica gun out at the officers before they fatally shot him on Saturday night.

The suspect was pronounced dead at Denver Health Hospital.

White says the man's name could be released by the coroner's office as soon as the middle of this week.

White says the three officers who were involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Two men who were with the suspect have been arrested on auto theft charges.

32 year old Michael Romero and 21 year old Dale Sirratt are being held at the Denver city jail.
